Today marks a meaningful milestone in my journey as an artist.

This morning I shipped two of my paintings to Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. Knowing that work created in my studio here in Belleville will now live within a national institution is something I don’t take lightly.

For many years I simply worked — quietly, consistently, often without knowing who was watching or where the work might eventually land. Moments like this remind me that persistence matters.

These paintings carry the spirit of the Two-Eyed work I’ve been building — pieces that speak about identity, resilience, and the space between ways of knowing.

Today feels like an important step forward.
I’m grateful, and I’m excited to see where this path leads next.
