Art Along the River: Featured in

Art on the Trent 2026

This spring, I am honoured to be included in the 2026 Art on the Trent outdoor public art exhibition presented by the City of Quinte West.

The exhibition celebrates Indigenous art, history, and culture and features the work of Indigenous artists from across the Bay of Quinte region. Installed along the Trent River in highly visible public spaces, the display invites residents and visitors to encounter art in the rhythm of everyday life, outdoors, accessible, and woven into the community.

My work is part of a collection of sixteen pieces presented across three locations:

  • Centennial Park

  • Frankford Tourist Park

  • Riverfront Square

Seeing artwork placed in public space carries a special kind of meaning. It allows stories to live beyond gallery walls and meet people where they are: walking the waterfront, gathering with family, or simply passing through town. Public art becomes part of the landscape, part of memory, part of conversation.

This year’s exhibition launched on World Art Day, April 15, 2026, and will remain on display through the end of September.

I am grateful to be included alongside talented Indigenous artists from the region and to contribute to a shared celebration of culture, resilience, and creative expression.

Public art reminds us that creativity belongs everywhere.

And sometimes, it stands quietly beside a river, waiting to be discovered.
